Tom Price PP Tube Chair
Interior Designer Tom Price - The PP Tube Chair
I’m Melting…I’m Melting

No, it’s not a pile left over from the Wicked Witch of the West, but rather a stack of HVAC or plumbing tubes melted together. Art project gone bad? Hardly. This whimsical seat called the Meltdown Chair by Tom Price is created by melting and fusing the tubes together to form seat with a pattern of irregular holes. The kinetic appearance is part of a series called the PP Tube Chairs in which the melted pattern forms various models.
Tom Price is an artist and interior designer from London that looks at furniture design as part function, part sculpture. Throughout his repertoire finds unusual materials such as fleece, rope, plastics, straw, PVC, as well as more American Walnut. While having a flair for the odd (check out Bug on his website) , Price also finds time to create functional works as well.
